ABOUT: Butterworth Supply is a fishing/outdoor equipment company that was founded by a family friend, John Butterworth. It produces products such as ice bags and fishing stands that hold bait buckets, lines, cellphones and more. It also sells branded merchandise, including shirts, hats and stickers. The brand identity is inspired the human soul’s need for the great outdoors. John spent 30 years working in offices at various corporations and has recently found that his love and passion for fishing was what he was missing all along. Life has a way of accelerating to light speed in our digital world, and an activity outdoors can be exactly what one needs to return to their roots and restore their creative spirit. It did not take long for John’s creative mind to come up with his one-of-a-kind fishing stand, which continues to sell out on his website. John came to me with a simple edit for his original logo (seen below) and I ended up creating his current, streamlined version.
